Are there disabled and parent/child facilities available at St. George’s Shopping Centre?
Situated in the Public Toilet block, on the second floor opposite Puttstars, there is one toilet operated by RADAR key. There is an intercom outside which will connect to the Security department for any disabled person to use if they do not have a RADAR key themselves. The door opens outwards and the door is locked by a locking handle. There is an emergency alarm. The emergency pull cord alarm is fully functional.
Opening times are generally 06.00am to 03.00am.
A baby changing room with nappy disposal is located next to the ladies toilets on the second floor, close to the public lifts.
Can I hire mobility equipment at St. George’s Shopping Centre?
Yes you can. Shopmobility is a service that provides assistance to anyone with limited mobility in Harrow and the surrounding area, they are open Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 16:00, Friday 10:00 to 15:00, and closed Saturday and Sunday.
Manual wheelchairs, Powered wheelchairs and Powered scooters are all available. Equipment does not have to be booked in advance and there is not a hire charge.
Please note: Harrow Shopmobility will be closed from 13:00 on 22nd December 2023 until 10:00 on Tuesday 2nd January 2024.
What access is available to the centre for disabled customers or families with pushchairs?
All areas of the centre have wheelchair access via level surface or lifts. The main car park is accessible via the lifts. All access points are wheelchair friendly.
Are there disabled and parent/child spaces available at the centre’s car park?
Yes. Parking spaces for Blue Badge holders do not need to be booked in advance and there is/are 10+ Blue Badge parking bay(s) within the car park. Parking spaces for Blue Badge holders do not need to be booked in advance.
The dimensions of the Blue Badge parking bay(s) are 340cm x 490cm (11ft 2in x 16ft 1in).
What level of help can be offered by staff and security at St. George’s Shopping Centre for people with specific needs?
The team at St. George’s shopping centre are pleased to be able to offer help and support to any customer who requests it. They offer their own kindness and compassion, with all centre staff having received disability awareness/equality training.
